10:129-2.8 Proceeding to a formal investigation



(a) The child protective investigator shall commence a formal investigation of each report that is not unfounded at the conclusion of the initial investigation.
 
 

   
 
 
(b) The child protective investigator shall make the decision to proceed to a formal investigation and shall document the date of his or her decision within 14 days of the report being received at the State Central Registry.
