Kenneth Vercammen, Esquire, of Metuchen, NJ, won first place overall in the 2002 Pursuit of Justice 5K Run in Washington, DC, at the American Bar Association Annual Meeting on August 10, 2002. The race started at Freedom Plaza and ran along Pennsylvania Avenue, then in front of the US Capital, the Reflecting Pond, and around US Government Buildings. The runners then passed the FBI Building, the Department of Justice and the Department of Labor. The race was sponsored by the ABA Section on Individual Rights and Responsibilities, plus nine co-sponsors including the Law Practice Management Section, the Criminal Justice Section, the Section of Tort and Insurance Practice, and the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section.
